EAMG Xmas Quiz 2024
It will soon be that time of year again. Group night on 3rd December features the EAMG Xmas Quiz (20th anniversary edition). Same as every year, apart from the questions. Prizes for winning, losing, moral victory, and being the noisiest table! A beacon of stability in a changing and uncertain world. It should be a good night to bring a guest or two. Starts 19:30ish.

Michel, if you can tell me what the traffic through London will be like that day then I could refine the 'ish'. We normally aim to arrive just after 7pm, and then it takes about 30 mins to set up and feed the markers. I normally leave Sydenham shortly after 4pm, and I have to come via Woodford to pick up the markers. It is a 3 hour journey

Excuse my humour i was joking. I feel your pain. When i finish with a client south of Croydon I hate the journey home, half of it in 20mph zones now!

That's nice. We don't travel on the M25 but I am happy that it is making contingency plans

Belatedly copied from Facebook, since some members do not use it.
Many thanks to the 41 souls who attended the Xmas Quiz last night for their good nature and determination to enjoy themselves; laughing at the same jokes which are told every year. The quiz itself seemed to be at the right level with a 74% correct answer average. Weakest round was Food & Drink with 56%, and strongest was Film & TV with 84%. The generally loathed Science & Nature was one of the strongest at 72%, and Table 3 scored a perfect 10 on it!
Table 5 - 86 points - winner
Table 4 - 82 points
Table 1 - 72 points
Table 3 - 70 points
Table 2 - 59 points - wooden spoon (a real one)
Table 4 got the prize for being noisiest, and the moral victors were Table 5 but, since they won overall, we gave the prize to Table 4.
It was all great fun to give.
