So apparently there's a ride this weekend, but not if you aren't on Facebook. I thought the idea of the website is to keep us updated on events. As l will not use Facebook and rarely get a chance to go to the monthly meetings. My main interaction with everyone is ride outs and events, which l can't attend if l don't get told about it. After many years of being a member, maybe it's time to not renew in the new year.

Hi Peter.

The ride was posted here on Tuesday. Think you might have missed it.

We could very much do with some help making sure everything is posted as and when, fancy helping out as secretary?

All the full member ride dates for 2024 have been published in the Events Diary on our website since November last year. Generally a reminder nearer the time is posted on the forum but in this instance the ride leader didn't think to do that as he personally favours communication via Facebook but I can forgive that as he has already made a huge commitment to create events for us to enjoy.
Most things within EAMG fall to a very few people to organise. Apart from a few cases when others have stepped in last minute, all the scheduled rides this year have been organised and led by just five people. They have committed, sometimes more than a year in advance, to leading a ride which also entails spending considerable time working on interesting routes.
As Michel has said many times at group nights and in TUG, running EAMG and associated events falls to too few people so we are always open to offers of help.
