Recently received this email offering accommodation right in the meaty zone of Wales. I am staying in May, and they do have private bike parking. Thought it may be of interest, please note we do not benefit in any way by posting this.

Good Morning,

I am writing to you on behalf of ‘Croeso Grwp’ in Rhayader, Powys. We are a small Family run business, at the heart of mid wales - with the Elan Valley directly on our doorstep.

Rhayader is the first town on the River Wye, it is home to the spectacular dams and reservoirs of the Elan and Claerwen Valleys. The Elan Valley estate is perfect for Bike Riders, Motorbikers and Walking Groups with 72 Square miles of estate to explore. We are also a central location to Llandrindod Golf Course, Llanidloes Golf Course and Builth Golf Course - All within 15/20 minutes drive from us.

For Golfing groups and walking groups, we can also provide a taxi service to take you to your starting destination or to move from one golf course to another in our company mini bus.

At Croeso Grwp we operate a number of hospitality premises. We operate ‘Ty Morgans Bar, Bistro, Rooms’ which includes Nine Bedrooms above the bar and coffee shop. Alongside this, we have the ‘Crown Inn’ - Our pub and restaurant which has 4 Bedrooms. Across the road, there is ‘The Lamb and Flag’, a sports bar and restaurant which has 6 bedrooms. All of these rooms vary in occupancy and Styles. We also own two self catering apartments (1st Floor and 2nd Floor) above our Family run laundrette and laundry services. All of these properties are within 100m from each other. Alongside our accommodation establishments we also operate ‘Evans Plaice’ Fish and Chip shop in town.

Over the last few years we have been pleased to gain a lot of repeat business from motorcycling groups and mountain biking groups. Each of these groups have their own packages set based on the requirements that they were after.

We have parking space for motorbikes and we have sheds to store bicycles in ensuring they are safe and secure.

We can offer a number of different packages depending on your requirements, these could range from ‘bed and breakfast’ to ‘Dinner, Bed and Breakfast.’
As we have a number of food establishments, we are able to offer a different option for Dinner each night, you could eat at Evans plaice one night for fish and chips, The Crown Inn the next night and then The lamb and flag the night after. It is recommended that this is arranged in advance as as we approach the busiest time of the year, especially over the weekends, we can sell out of tables relatively quickly. Depending on the size of groups, we could offer a range of different options from set menus which can then be included on the booking rate, or tables can be booked as a ‘pay as you go’ meal. For bigger groups, a buffet style meal could be arranged on one of the evenings. For groups going out of town for the day, we can also offer sandwiches to take with you for lunch - This can also be included in the final rate.

We have 23 bedrooms altogether and can accommodate up to 60 people across all of these rooms (based on each room being used at full capacity).

Attached is a Copy of our room list with the capacity for each room and the bed layout. (These rooms are all subject to availability dependent on the dates required.)

Glad to report we had a fab time In Wales. Used to stay in Dolgellau before, but this is probably an hour and a half nearer home, but right in the heart of great riding territory.

Ty Morgans has good food, bike parking, great staff and comfortable. Note it has a town clock right outside that chimes every hour 24/7. Would we go back…definitely!
