Re: Puncture repair

Hi Chris. It's great to hear from you. I hope you're all OK, I've missed you on the rides. This was the 1st time I tried plugging a puncture. I thought the instructions were idiot prove? But maybe not. Thanks, I am fine. It was my role as a 24/7 carer for my wife which forced me to stop attending t...

Re: EAMG Xmas Quiz 2024

Belatedly copied from Facebook, since some members do not use it. Many thanks to the 41 souls who attended the Xmas Quiz last night for their good nature and determination to enjoy themselves; laughing at the same jokes which are told every year. The quiz itself seemed to be at the right level with ...

That's nice. We don't travel on the M25 but I am happy that it is making contingency plans :-)

Re: EAMG Xmas Quiz 2024

Michel, if you can tell me what the traffic through London will be like that day then I could refine the 'ish'. We normally aim to arrive just after 7pm, and then it takes about 30 mins to set up and feed the markers. I normally leave Sydenham shortly after 4pm, and I have to come via Woodford to pi...

Prizes for winning, losing, moral victory, and being the noisiest table! A beacon of stability in a changing and uncertain world....

Re: Xmas Quiz 2023

It was enjoyable for me to come back to EAMG and deliver the quiz. Some statistics: We had 44 players, 5 less than last year, on 7 tables. The scoring average for rounds was about 6, which indicates that the difficulty level was about right. Joker plays were sub-optimal. Table 7 scored a perfect 10 ...

A quick reminder that the Group Night on 5th December features the annual Xmas Quiz. Starts at 7:30(ish). Same as every year, but with different questions. It should be a lively and entertaining evening suitable for friends and family.
